Visit the Emerald City  - The Best of Seattle Tour

Seattle Sightseeing Tour, Chihuly Gardens, Space Needle, Boeing's Flight Aviation Center

Meet us at the Reno/Tahoe International airport for our short flight to Seattle.

Upon arrival, we will be met by our local guide who will take us on a fun filled tour highlighting the best that Seattle has to offer.   We travel east to Snoqualmie Falls, one of Washington’s most popular attractions, with its raging 268-foot waterfall; surrounded by a lovely park, gift shop and observation deck.  Our lectured tour continues north towards Seattle, through the quirky town of Freemont arriving at the Ballard Locks and Fish Ladder, which carries more boat traffic than any other lock in the US. This area along with the surrounding Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Gardens attracts more than one million visitors annually, making it one of Seattle's top tourist attractions.  Next, we enjoy lunch at Alki Point overlooking the beautiful Puget Sound. After lunch, we will spend some time at Historic Pioneer Square, Seattle’s oldest neighborhood, full of elegantly renovated turn-of-the-20th-century redbrick buildings and art galleries, the Square is known as the center of Seattle's arts scene.  In the late afternoon, we check into our hotel, located in the heart of downtown Seattle with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance to enjoy dinner on your own. Day Two:
We bring with a hosted breakfast before departing for Seattle’s infamous Space Needle and observation tower.  Considered one of the major landmarks of the Pacific Northwest, it was built in the Seattle Center for the 1962 World's Fair. We traverse up more than 600 feet for an incredible view overlooking Elliot Bay and Olympic National Park.  Next, we travel to Chihuly Garden and Glass, showcasing the studio glass of Dale Chihuly, his project includes three primary components: the Garden, the Glasshouse, and the interior exhibits, with significant secondary spaces including a lovely café, a theater, a lecture space, and a retail shop. You won’t want to miss the extensive garden and glasshouse, which includes a 100-foot long sculpture and is one of Chihuly’s largest suspended sculptures. Following your no-host lunch, we enjoy one of Seattle’s most unusual tours, the Seattle Underground Tour.  Enjoy this guided tour through intriguing subterranean storefronts and sidewalks entombed when Seattle was rebuilt on top of itself after the great fire of 1889.  Following our tour, time will be allowed to enjoy Pikes Market, Seattle's epicenter of fresh produce, specialty foods and independent businesses. Established in 1907 to connect citizens and farmers, the Market continues its “Meet the Producer” tradition with a year-round farmer’s market, owner-operated bakeries, fish markets, butcher shops, produce stands and specialty food stores.  Within the nine-acre historic district, you'll discover dozens of farmers, a bustling crafts market, and more than 200 unique owner-operated shops. We return to our hotel with time to freshen up before your hosted dinner. (B, D)

Day Three:
Enjoy your hosted breakfast before checking out of our hotel this morning.  We board our Motorcoach and travel north to the town of Everette, home to the Future of Flight Aviation Center.  The flight center offers the only publicly available opportunity to tour a commercial jet assembly plant in North America. The flight Aviation is the production facility for Boeings 747, 767, 777 and the 787.  Enjoy the 28,000-square-foot gallery containing static and interactive exhibits and displays as well as a theater, café and shops.  Following our guided tour we enjoy a lovely lunch at Mukilteo Landing, pleasantly situated on the water next to the ferry dock, you can watch the ferries come and go as you enjoy a bountiful seafood lunch.  Following lunch, we travel to the Seattle Airport for our return flight home.
