What could be more invigorating than a trip to Yosemite National Park? This popular site is best known for its surging waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness, and much more. Yosemite spans the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. If you’ve been putting off visiting this national treasure because it seemed too daunting, now you have an opportunity to see the park in guided comfort. Here’s what you can expect when you join our exclusive VIP excursion:

Day One:  We depart Reno and arrive at Ironstone Vineyards for wine tasting, tour and lunch.  Ironstone Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery that places as much emphasis on the natural beauty and history of their surroundings as they do on the quality of their wines. Located in the heart of the Sierra Foothills in California’s scenic Gold Rush Country, Ironstone is a state-of-the-art wine production facility. Next we travel to Yosemite National Park and check into Yosemite Lodge at the Falls for our two-night stay. The Lodge, which provides the world’s most scenic accommodations, is just steps away from Yosemite Falls – the epicenter for all that Yosemite National Park has to offer. The evening will be yours to enjoy on your own. You have two lovely restaurants to choose from for dinner at the Lodge or you can board the Valley Tram and explore Curry Village or the Ahwahnee dining room.

Day Two:  Breakfast will be hosted this morning before we board the Yosemite Valley Guided Tram Tour. On this two-hour tour, park rangers introduce some of Yosemite’s most famous sightseeing points in Yosemite Valley and describe the history, geology, plant and animal life of the region. Gain a fuller knowledge and enjoyment of the park while touring in an enclosed and heated motorcoach with large windows. Bring your camera to capture some spectacular pictures. Following your tour, the afternoon will be yours to explore this magnificent National Park. You can hop on the free Yosemite Valley Shuttle that will take you to numerous stops such as Yosemite Village, Nature Center at Happy Isles, Yosemite Valley Stable, Sentinel Bridge, Yosemite Falls and LeConte Memorial Lodge. In the evening we enjoy a hosted dinner in the dining room at the Lodge.

Day Three:  We check out of our hotel this morning following a hosted breakfast at the Lodge. Our first stop will be the Yosemite Village Visitor Center and Museum. The Visitor Center has an exhibit hall where you can learn how Yosemite’s spectacular landscape was formed, how people have interacted with it through the centuries, how wildlife adapts and survives, and how Yosemite continues to evolve. Visit the Ansel Adams Gallery and Village Store before enjoying a hosted lunch in the Ahwahnee Dining Room. The crown jewel of Yosemite dining, this award-winning dining room is both magnificent and intimate. The 34-foot-high beamed ceiling with large sugar pine trestles that complement the room’s granite pillars, floor-to-ceiling windows, chandeliers, linen tablecloths and beautiful china create the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience.  Following a delicious lunch, we board our motorcoach for our journey home.
