Experience the best that Old Sacramento has to offer! We arrive in Old Sac and board California State Railroad Museum's popular railroad--the Sacramento Southern Railroad. Enjoy the excursion in closed coach cars, open-air gondolas and a first-class observation car pulled by vintage diesel locomotives from the Museum's collection. Lunch will be enjoyed on the Delta King, a permanently moored and fully restored River Boat, considered the most lavishly appointed and expensive sternwheeler passenger boat ever commissioned. Next we board the Hornblower for a delightful one-hour cruise, we’ll sail past Old Sacramento's famous historical sites, the I Street Bridge, the Tower Bridge, and the Air Force Docks. As we cruise, we’ll hear fascinating stories from the history of Sacramento—about John Sutter, the founder of Sacramento, to the wild first days of the Gold Rush and the legendary Pony Express.
