$84 per passenger
All aboard to visit the museum of the Western Pacific Railroad, whose rich heritage includes the famed California Zephyr, which introduced domed passenger cars in the late 1940's on its cross-country route through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Sit in the cab of the largest and mightiest diesel locomotive. Climb aboard California Zephyr passenger cars. Take the throttle of a real locomotive. A museum representative will provide historical background information. Next we visit the spectacular Nakoma Resort for lunch in the majestic Frank Lloyd Wright designed Wigwam Room. We wrap up the day with a visit to Graegle, a town rich in history, which has been kept as nearly like the original as possible. If time permits we may check out Graegle’s interesting boutiques.
