Day One;
We love San Francisco!  Join us as we explore all that San Francisco has to offer, while avoiding the hassle of driving, traffic and parking.  We will show you the best that our wonderful hometown has to offer!  We arrive in Golden Gate Park, home to the DeYoung Museum and the Oscar de la Renta Exhibit. The world premiere retrospective of Oscar de la Renta’s work celebrates the life and career of one of fashion’s most influential designers. The exhibition will include more than 100 ensembles produced over five decades, and is presented in collaboration with the house of de la Renta and the designer’s family.  Enjoy lunch on your own at the museum while you explore the exhibit, history, architecture and the incredible view of San Francisco from the 7th floor of the museum.  In the afternoon, we will arrive at our hotel located right on Fisherman’s Wharf, with time to freshen up before our hosted dinner in the North Beach district known as “Little Italy”.

Following our delicious Italian dinner, we experience the longest running show in San Francisco “Beach Blanket Babylon” Celebrating over 15,000 performances; Beach Blanket Babylon has become a world renowned record-breaking success. Seen by nearly six million people from around the world, this internationally acclaimed musical revue continues to delight audiences at Club Fugazi in the City’s North Beach district with its hilarious spoofs of pop culture, spectacular costumes and outrageously gigantic hats! For San Francisco things to do, choose Beach Blanket Bab (CB,D)

Day Two;
Breakfast will be hosted before we check out and travel by ferry to Angel Island State Park.   Located in the middle of San Francisco Bay and is the largest natural island in the Bay, offering some of the best views of the surrounding Bay Area, it is truly a hidden gem in the midst of the urban Bay Area. Take a trip back in time beginning with the earliest inhabitants, the Coast Miwok, Angel Island was a seasonal hunting and gathering location for the local native tribes, a safe refuge and supply stop for Spanish explorers like Juan Manuel de Ayala, one of the first to map the San Francisco Bay.  From 1910 to 1940, the U.S. Immigration Station processed hundreds of thousands of immigrants, the majority from China. During World War II, Japanese and German POWs, were detained at the Station before being sent to facilities farther inland.  We will have the opportunity to explore the museum, take a one hour tram ride around the island, featuring spectacular views the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco and Alcatraz. A professionally produced audio history of Angel Island plays over the audio system while you are enjoying your tour. Next enjoy a lovely picnic lunch.  We return to San Francisco by ferry, where our Motorcoach awaits us for our return trip home.  (B,L)
