We’ll tour the Nevada State Capital in Carson City with a docent and hear the history and stories behind this historic building. Construction of the building began in 1870 and continued on through 1913. We’ll also tour the Marjorie Russell Clothing and Textile Research Center and see costumes and textile collections of over 10,000 artifacts. In addition to a women’s collection ranging from the 18th century to today’s fashions, we’ll see a quilt collection, hats, flags, children and men’s wear, and more. Between the two tours, we will go to the Tahoe Ridge winery for a tour and wine tasting followed by a bistro style lunch.
