The Bridgeport State Park is perfect for this type of tour. Come along with us as we step back in time to the days of the Gold Rush, learn how the miners used gold pans, sluices and dredges to pull the mighty ore from the ground. We will visit the beautiful covered bridge, build in 1883, visit the historic barn full of interesting historic hay and passenger wagons that traveled in and around the Sierra Nevada. The crowning jewel of this state park is the Covered Bridge, built in 1862 and still standing today. Over 100 wagons a day crossed this bridge bringing supplies to the pioneers and miners of the day. We continue onto Grass Valley for our hosted lunch with time to shop and browse the historic district.
