Depart from your hotel this morning along with your step-on-guide and travel to historical Virginia City.  Once a vital settlement between Denver and San Francisco, Virginia City influenced the entire country. During its heyday Virginia City's mining proceeds amounted to millions of dollars, equaling billions today. Every inch of this picturesque, Victorian-era town celebrates this colorful history. Stroll the authentic board sidewalks to Old West saloons, shops, museums, enjoy lunch on your own at the many restaurants available to you.  Visit historic churches, 19th century homes, public buildings, and quaint cemeteries.  In the afternoon, we depart for Carson City the state capitol of Nevada, for a driving tour of the historic district, drive by the Governor’s Mansion, Bliss Mansion and much more. We return to our hotel with a delightful stop and the Chocolate Nugget, known for its exceptional candies and ice cream.
